And the grand finale!
Ooohh, pwetty!
Are you dizzy yet?
...Go!!
...Set...
Ready...
We followed the Pooh homies out after we met some princesses. I yelled at Eeyore to turn around and he actually did. Isn't he cute? This really doesn't change things, I'm still against Winnie the Pooh obsessions from ages 8 and up.
Wow, I look like a freak in this picture. But I just love Sorcerer Mickey!
Yay! After 50 years, Cinderella is finally considered a princess after Cinderellabration!
Okay, no more torture, the ride is over. Adios!
It's a small world afterall, it's a small world afterall, it's a small world afterall, it's a small world afterall. Is the song in your head yet?
To my family who never lets me go on It's a Small World. HA! Now you have to see it! Enjoy!
You thought the seagulls were bad in Utah! I nearly get killed everytime I go to Adventureland. Is it legal to hurt them here since it's not the state's flippin' bird?
Our interpretation of Rodin's The Thinker, Disney style!
Did you know that the Enchanted Tiki Room is actually an attraction at the Magic Kingdom? Did you know that I had no idea that it was? So anyway, here I am waiting for it.
Hey look, it's J-Dawg's head. We tried to have a race but my car left a few minutes before hers. Weird that she's ahead of me in this picture. Don't worry though, as soon as I awkwardly got out of my car, I ran to the finish line and I still beat her. The skill and determination to win must come from my Mesquite days of go-cart racing!
Here I am trying to fit into my car at the Speedway. Yep, my foot is all the way down on the gas and I still can hardly fit my legs in the car. I hope it's not a sign that I'm too big for Disney World.
I feel like Donald Duck is highly underrated. So here you go. A picture of Miss Daisy, Donald's boat.
See, even as a mailbox Mickey is adorable. How many of us can say that?
I heart Walt Disney World.
I like to call this one: Huge bee on a plant outside my bedroom window. By the way, notice how bright and sunny it is outside. HA!
It was none other than...drumroll please... KEN! My wonderful roommate's best friend. They both like to cook. How lucky am I?
You may be thinking to yourself, that looks disgusting. Let me tell you, it was not. Yummy pasta surrounded by chicken. You may now be thinking, who could have created something so well designed?
For training in the art gallery, I got to practice using Art on Demand. It's a way for us to save wall space. Guests can get on the computer and pick a piece to print off. There are so many cool pictures to choose from! I chose "Dancing in the Rain" by Eric Robison and I got to print it off. Another Disney benefit: a $38 dollar poster for FREE!!
Doesn't my apartment seem like so much fun? As if we didn't get enough Disney at work, these girls are glued to the Disney Channel Original Movie premiere of "High School Musical". Yes, that's what it's called.
The Florida wildlife is scary. Don't worry though, DisneyWorld has marked evacuation routes just in case.
This is made completely of jelly beans. The store also makes the most incredible snacks, cookies, pretzels, candied apples... They made me a yummy giant Oreo dippped in white chocolate with M&M's and Reese's Pieces. So good.
There are several different Lego creatures to see. I can't believe they are all made of those tiny little Legos that I used to play with and couldn't even make a car.
Outside of the Lego store at Downtown Disney, they have a huge sea monster in the water. Yes it is completely made out of Legos and it is incredible. Its back goes in and out of the water just like a snake. It is HUGE!
This is the Hat. Many people begin their mad pin trading here where we sell almost all of the pins that you can find throughout the park. Almost every cast member wears a lanyard with 12 pins. Guests come and strangle you to look at your pins to see mainly if you have any "Cast Member" or "Lanyard" pins. You can only get those pins from us so they are what everyone is after. If you want to see them I'm sure there is a huge collection on Ebay. Pin sharks are everywhere ready to trade a crappy pin for our good ones. It's actually kind of entertaining sometimes.
However, I must say that waiting for the attraction is much more amusing than the actual attraction. If you can't read the picture, all you need to know is that the box contains just about every combination of helmets, mold, and fungus.
Disney is so incredible that I have almost even become a fan of the Muppets.
Yes, it's a real place! Unfortunately, I hear that the pizza isn't very good.
Here's the real people that I work with. I don't know most of them but I do know from right to left (thanks Mike!): JoJo, Tigger, Piglet, Goliath, Pooh, Stanley, Green guy, Bear, Pip and Pop (at the bottom), Bear's mouse, and another bear. I sometimes work at the wall on the right of this picture. You can't see it but it basically has most of those guys stuffed.
I get to see Mickey everyday at work. Jealous?
This statue is in the area that I work. I don't really do much with the actual animation section, obviously, but it's still in my area. The shop right behind this sells amazing pieces of art and if you go through it you can meet Chicken Little. Just another way Disney satisfies both children and parents.
Here's a better shot of the shirt. It's not too bad because it has a bunch of characters on it. But put the pants and the shirt together and VOILA! I'm not lying to you when I tell you what they told me when I walked out of the dressing room. "If it's sexy, it's not Disney." Boy were they right...
I finally found out that I will be working with Animation Tours. I don't know exactly what I'll be doing but I get to do it in these beautiful blue pants. Of course they didn't have long enough pants so not only do I have to wear a dorky costume like everyone else, I get to be a dork in a dorky costume. Not much different than usual.
Today we toured the park where I will be working, Disney MGM Studios. As we passed Al's Toy Barn, Woody came running up to us. Once Buzz and Jesse saw what he was doing, they left a line of kids to come and say "Howdy" too. Sad for the kids, fun picture for me! (They'll probably get in trouble later.)
Fantasmic was basically the most fantasmic thing I have ever seen!
...and the inevitable hookups at the marriage!
...and the cute guys girls marry...
Hooray for marriage...
While my roommates and I toured Disney's MGM Studios, I convinced them to meet Mickey with me. Can you believe they didn't want to go in? Afterwards they were glad that they did. I mean, look how cute he is! That's my roommate Dee on the left and my room-roommate Jennamarie on the right. They are way fun.
It's official, I have a nametag and everything. You know those signs that say "Cast Members Only"? That's me!!
As my days in Utah neared an end, it was time to start saying my goodbyes. I knew I shouldn't leave you all. I mean, look how Mike reacted!! I can only imagine the rest of your faces.
I may just be dillusional, but does my dog look like Hitler to anyone else?
While I was home, I had a lot of leisure time. Maybe it was because I broke my pinky toe or maybe it was because I had no job so I sat on my rear-end all day long! Judging by the picture, I think it was the broken toe thing. You really can't see the massive bruise which is my foot, but take my word for it. That's just my graceful side kicking in.
Before leaving for Fla, I had a wonderful birthday bash slash get the heck out of here party. Look how thrilled these guys are to be there!
